Maria Rivera-Guevara

Maria is a dedicated professional who graduated from the Master of Public Health (MPH) program with a focus on Community Health Education at California State University, Northridge (CSUN).

In her current role as the Housing and Wellness Coordinator for Project Rebound, she plays a vital part in supporting formerly incarcerated college students as they navigate their academic journeys. Maria assists these individuals in accessing essential resources that address their basic needs, recognizing the unique challenges they face as justice-impacted individuals. Her work with the SHARE project has equipped Maria with valuable research skills and tools that enhance her ability to promote the well-being of those affected by the justice system.

Maria is deeply committed to advocating for equity and access to education, and she strives to empower her students to achieve their academic and personal goals. Maria also enjoys spending time outdoors either walking her dog, running, or camping with her family.
