Alex Arciniega
Alex Arciniega is a graduate student pursuing her MPH in Applied Epidemiology. Her passion for public health stems from working with diverse communities in community gardens. Seeing people from a wide range of backgrounds and communities helped her see resilient communities in action.
Born in Mexicali, and raised in San Bernardino, CA – she experienced the burden that pollution places on communities living on the margin. From asthma pollution, to outdoor access, her passion for environmental justice is strong and she hopes to build upon that
.
With a background in insurance and health care marketing, she’s looking to apply past experience while growing within the team. Currently, she’s a delegate in AD 44 and works closely with her community to advocate for better systems that can help people lead healthier lives.
Alex is glad to join the SHARE team to gain a better understanding student behavioral data. She hopes to expand that knowledge into future projects working with at-risk teens.
